To me contemporary design means the art is representing something like a special occasion, important day or just random. Artist like to look at old art work and change to match with the current trend and are suitable for an occasion. The mixture of contemporary art with 3D will make it fun and eye catching. So basically a modern twist to that design and following the art movement.
The examples I found in the moth studio that I like and that also suitable for this topic
Headspace.
So this is about a meditation app called Headspace.
Without reading the text in the page I know it’s has something to do with our emotions. For example, this photo with the bee and balloon we all know when the bee sting the balloon the balloon will pop. The choice of sound, emotion and movement can represent people worrying about getting hurt.
Each shot has a different character with a different scenario
The simplicity of the design really helps people understand what is going on in the video.

This design can last for a long time because it won’t go out of style.

Stickers
Social media stickers are important in a way because a lot of people use it in daily conversation.
As you can see from the above images there are a lot of varieties of stickers in the apps with different style. Stickers can be animated which is fun to look at.
I can easily imagine in my head the type of movement these characters will do.

All of these stickers are different because there was a lot of people creating these stickers for Skype and helping each other. Everyone have different style and working with each other will help them find a new style and even improve their work. But there are stickers out there that are outdated due to the popular style trend in that year, but they will become popular again when their style is popular again.
Luke Doyle
I was looking at the moth studio page found this little animation video made by Luke Doyle. He does 3D work and started working with the moth studio in 2017. I really like the style he does. I know he does a lot of different style artwork which is good, but I really like this style.
I really like the texture and colour he used on the girl because it really suit the design. The movement, transition he used for the girl changing into the poison bottle is really nice and smooth. Simple movement, but it goes well with the sound effect.
So what I am getting out of these three examples is that I need my work to be simple, fun and colourful. Having different style in 2d and 3d is good because I can also do basic animation on them and adding simple sound effects.
