What is Typography?
Well typography is the design of texts for example alignment, size, colour, texture and the readability of the text. We can see it everywhere magazine, the website, billboards, poster, etc. As a design student we should also focus on font as it help our work have a connection and also help other people feel something when they see the text style we use. Our work can either be professional or goofy. Posters for movies are a good example for both typography and illustration the designer goal is to grab our attention, So they have to think about colours, alignment, font style, size, etc. While also thinking about an image or an illustration to help the audience think for themselves on what the movie is going to be about and what the genre is.
If I think about it when I was small I didn’t really knew the importance of the text style I just wanted my work to be pretty. By thinking of the colour, alignment and if it matches with my drawing. Typography is something small but does make a difference, make your work better and help you find your style too.

What is illustration?
illustration is a drawing that can be drawn in any style. To make a story, a clear diagram, etc. People make illustration because it makes them and others happy.
A perfect place to see both illustration and typography is in Pinterest and Instagram.
In this illustration we can easily know it is for Halloween because of the colour, drawing and text style. The creator of this image doesn’t need to say Halloween. The use of black and white gives a good contrast and make the illustration stand out. every detail is suitable for Halloween a cute spooky effect.
This is a perfect image for illustration, we can understand what’s going on without text. By the colour and emotion, so simple yet effective.We can see the colours of the cloud face changing and colour to show it is upset. Sometime you don’t even need to use text in an image because the illustration does all the work vice Vera.

Is an illustrator from Poland, I found her website last year when I was researching for another assignment, I really like the way she drew the girl. In this image the way she wrote the text in the wave make me think the word is flowing, the colours she uses help make it more calm feeling. Her drawing is amazing to me because of how it is simple, the colour she uses are all suitable for her drawings.
In this image she uses two fonts and it makes the image have a happy feeling just like the colour yellow used for the boots. Yellow means joy, energy and warmth.
The typography she use with the detail around have an effect like it is going to move, I can imagine what it looks like animated. The way she draws her character look like she is jumping and is carefree.
I really like the way noidobra. art draw because her work and also other similar style art work / illustration are a good place to start with typography text, using a simple font, playing with colours and placement. It is a good place to start and build up the skill. In order to improve our skill for both illustration and typography we always have to practice in different type of style. Not only does it help us get more creative we can also find our own style.
Illustration and typography can also be found on clothes, pins, bags to express yourself. to show what you are interested in.
